January 25th, 2016 | Amsterdam, The Netherlands

Digital music distribution and services company FUGA have hired René Andreasi-Bassi as Head of Digital Marketing & Promotions and Michael Cassidy as Head of Operations in preparation for future expansion.

A specialist in brand positioning and content promotion across digital platforms, Andreasi-Bassi will lead the FUGA Digital Marketing & Promotions team, tasked with supporting FUGA’s aggregation clients’ retail marketing efforts and broadening relationships with DSPs. He will also oversee plans to grow FUGA’s international marketing capabilities.

Andreasi-Bassi has over a decade of experience in promotions and creative marketing having spent time at Discovery Networks, where he built the award-winning creative team from the ground up, as well as NBCUniversal and Liberty Global. More recently, he has worked on marketing campaigns for the likes of The Walt Disney Company, as owner of Dutch creative agency Promoloog. He will report to Christiaan Kröner, FUGA’s Director of Aggregation and Services.

Cassidy meanwhile, joins from Liberty Global where he was Software Development Manager. He will be a lynchpin of the operations team, overseeing the ongoing operational advancement of FUGA’s platform and client support services. A track record in development, including management roles at eBay and QBE Europe, and founding music start-up I Think Music, give him a deep understanding of tech and the types of operational challenges FUGA will continue to face as its platform evolves. Cassidy will report to FUGA’s CEO, Pieter van Rijn.

Said Andreasi-Bassi: “It’s a privilege to work at an innovative company like FUGA and I can't wait to build up marketing services, helping our clients to reach their full digital marketing potential.”
Commented Cassidy: “Joining FUGA is a really exciting move for me. After four years away from the music industry, managing development teams at eBay and TV cable company Liberty Global, I am proud to be back playing a leading role in music technology."
FUGA CEO Pieter Van Rijn, added: “We’re very pleased to welcome highly experienced professionals René and Michael to the team. This is a time of opportunity, growth and continued change for FUGA and these new positions are key to making that happen.”
