● Company strike global digital services deal with Planet Records’ label roster and distribution service
● Ink more than 40 deals in first year of operation

Milan, 13 June 2019: The Italian office of FUGA, the leading technology and services company for rightsholders, have struck a global digital service deal with independent label and distribution company Planet Records.The deal covers Planet Records’ core roster of Latin American and European acts as well as the many dozens of artists and labels distributed through its Planet Distribution service. 

Planet Records Label has released many worldwide multi-platinum hits with stars like Daddy Yankee, Pitbull, Prince Royce, Omega, Gente de Zona, Nicky Jam, Romeo Santos, Osmani Garcia, Raulin Rodriguez, as well as licensing Latin megastar like Aventura and Italian releases for pop and rock icons like Spice Girl Melanie C and Tears for Fears, reaching 19 platinum and 15 gold records certified to date.With operations in Miami, Napoli, La Havana, Milan, New York as well as Colombia and the Dominican Republic, Planet Records Label and its artists have been repeatedly nominated at prestigious global ceremonies such as the Latin Grammy Awards, Billboard Latin Music Award and more. Planet Records’ recognition also extends to YouTube earning three ‘Gold Play Button’ awards surpassing a total of 7.7 million subscribers (3.9 million subscribers of channels related to the label, and 3.8 million more subscribers of channels related to the distribution partners). 

FUGA’s industry-renowned technology, which also supplies white-labelling capabilities for Planet Distribution, allows the label to maintain its independent ethos through its inbuilt flexibility so different services can be used for different campaigns as required.This deal marks a major milestone for FUGA’s recently opened division, securing over 40 new clients in their inaugural year of operation. Split between Rome and Milan, their growing success is testament to FUGA’s quick development in the new territories in which they operate, as well as their commitment to enabling exciting opportunities for rightsholders.
