29 May 2019, London: – Leading technology and services company, FUGA, have made two senior hires, Jason Reed and Kameil Sattar. Their recruitment marks a significant milestone as the distributor continues to go from strength to strength, rising from just 12 in 2014 to the 100 strong international company it is today.

Head of Digital at Domino Recording Co., Jason Reed will start at his new role as Head of Global Marketing and Promotions from 11th June, operating principally from FUGA’s London office. Jason has over a decade of experience driving digital strategy for the recordings business. For the last six years, he led digital strategy and partnerships for leading indie label Domino Recording Co., working on global campaigns for artists including Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand, Hot Chip and The Last Shadow Puppets. Prior to Domino, Jason was Head of Digital at Ministry of Sound Recordings.

Meanwhile, Kameil Sattar joins FUGA’s London office with immediate effect as Regional Manager UK from her previous position as Head of Digital at Proper Music Group. Kameil has a well-established reputation in both the digital and distribution sectors following senior roles with pioneering download platform eMusic and leading indie label distributor Pinnacle Records.

Kameil’s addition brings FUGA’s UK office to four staff since opening last year. The team, based in Tileyard Studios, also includes Sarah Johnston (Client Services Account Manager) and Björn Sandberg (Promotions Manager), and is led by UK MD Dorothee Imhoff.

Commenting on his new position with FUGA’s global team, Jason Reed said “I’m delighted to be joining the team at FUGA, continuing on a mission of collaborating with independent labels and artists to navigate the ever-shifting digital landscape and reach new global audiences.
